RFID Library Management uses Radio Frequency hardware and suitable software for the identification and accounting of Library Books. Hardware Systems comprises of three components; a tag, a reader and an antenna. The technology uses radio waves to uniquely identify the tag attached to the Library books. This technology does not require the book to be in direct contact or line of sight to the RFID reader. Several books can be identified at the same time.

Library item identification & security bit are combined into a single tag, there by eliminating the need to attach an additional security strip
Inventory management can be done using a handheld reader without closing the library and is at least 20 times faster compared to existing barcode based system
